Broadview Chat & Lunch
The Broadview discussion group is a component of the Adult Christian Education Program here at White Oaks United Church. Broadview Magazine is affiliated with the United Church of Canada. We share our perspectives and challenge our faith on the issues of Spirituality, Justice and Ethical Living.
If you would like to share your thoughts on the issues in Broadview, you are welcome to join us here at White Oaks on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the Jim Peden Hall from 11:00 to 12 noon. Bring a bagged lunch
Add your voice to our choir, Thursday evenings from Sept-June, at 7:30 pm. The choir practices each week for the upcoming worship services. Contact Carol Schulze or Laurie McAndrew.
Beaver, Cub and Scout Groups
They currently meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30pm and every boy in this age group is welcomed to join in. We only have the Beaver and Cub Groups meeting at this time. There is no Scouting group. For more information, please contact Brenda Keasey Harter at 226-688-4844.
VON SMART Blood Pressure Clinic
Join us before the Exercise Group, on the second Friday of every month, from 9:00am – 9:30am. A VON nurse and volunteer will perform and track your blood pressure reading for you. If you are registered for the Von Smart Exercise Group, this is a free service for you.
VON SMART Exercise Group
Every Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am – 10:30am, come join us for some fun, gentle exercise, led by certified instructors. Classes are structured to improve balance, cardiovascular health, strength and a general sense of well-being. Each class includes a falls prevention education component. It is a free class offered to all participants aged 55+.
Pizza & Movie Night
FIFTY plus, a community drop-in ministry, for retirees and seniors. Enjoy friendship, maybe a board game or a game of cards, and a cookie or two. Please join us on the third Wednesday of the month from September – May, at 1:30pm – 3:30pm and feel free to bring a friend.
