Shared Ministry

South West London United Churches

As of May 2025, White Oaks United has entered into a Shared Ministry project with Riverside United, Wesley-Knox United, and Calvary United Churches. The four churches share the leadership of all three clergy during this two year trial period.

Rev. Kerry Stover, Rev. Dr. Rob Apgar-Taylor and Rev. Michelle Owens are the three fulltime ministers serving the four congregations. These Communities of Faith are sharing ministry personnel for the purposes of worship, sacrament, pastoral care, and oversight of meetings related to congregational governance.

Worship services will be at 9:30 am at Riverside, and at 11:00 am at Calvary, Wesley-Knox and White Oaks United Church.

Update:

The Covenanting Service was held in April at Riverside United Church with Rev. Karlene Kember representing the Antler River Watershed Regional Council. The four church choirs with the musicians from Wesley Knox and White Oaks provided the music. The children from the four churches interviewed the ministers and then presented a puzzle piece representing their church to be stitched together into one banner celebrating this ministry. Following the service a wonderful shared supper was enjoyed by all in attendance.

This celebration comes at the first anniversary of this ministry.

We are excited to collaborate with each Community of Faith as we work together to ensure the continued success of each community.
